Miracles did not cease with the death of Christ.
In the early 1960's the first and last large company to see the Light did so. ATLANTIC 6202 (YOUNG TUXEDO BRASS BAND) and 8162 (EUREKA BRASS BAND OF NEW ORLEANS) were born.
LA CROIX applauded, prayed, and then waited. Mass production, mass distribution and mass everything else commenced, and all was well - or would have been had the recorded material been top-class.
As it happened it was merely good. FOLKWAYS AND MELODISC had already done much better, and MONO of England was to do so later with its GIBSON BRASS BAND release. The quantity/ quality prestidigitator had claimed another victim.
LA CROIX cocks its balls at such skullduggery.
Quality is God.
Here, for the first time, is an extended example of LOUIS NELSON'S Brass Band style. The accompanying musicians were handpicked for the session to include the finest Brass Band Men in England today.
